  • Therapy can be beneficial if you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, or other emotional challenges. If you're unsure whether therapy is right for you, we encourage you to schedule a consultation to discuss your concerns, explore your goals, and determine if our services are a good fit for your needs.

  • You can schedule an appointment by contacting me through the online booking system (coming soon) on our website, by calling the office at 843-305-5142, or by filling out the contact form. I will respond to your inquiry promptly to arrange a convenient time.

  • In your first session, we will focus on getting to know you, understanding your concerns, and discussing your goals for therapy. It's also a time for you to ask questions and learn about the therapeutic process. Our goal is to create a comfortable and safe environment for you to explore your feelings and begin your journey toward healing.

  • The duration of therapy varies depending on your individual needs and goals. Some clients may benefit from short-term therapy, while others may engage in longer-term treatment. We will regularly evaluate your progress and adjust the approach as necessary.

  • Yes, therapy is confidential. I adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines to ensure your privacy. There are some legal exceptions to confidentiality, such as when there is a risk of harm to yourself or others or if required by law. We will discuss these limits with you at the beginning of therapy.

  • No, I do not accept insurance. Visit this page to review my current service rates. I work on a private pay basis, which allows for more flexibility and privacy in your treatment.

Many clients find this approach beneficial, as it gives us the freedom to focus on what’s best for your care without restrictions from insurance providers.

If you have insurance, I can provide you with a receipt for services that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan.

  • Since I do not accept insurance directly, you can contact your insurance company to inquire about out-of-network reimbursement. When speaking with them, ask the following questions:

    1. Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health therapy?

    2. What is the reimbursement rate for therapy services provided by a private-pay therapist?

    3. Do I need a specific diagnosis code or other information from my therapist for reimbursement?

    4. Is there a deductible I need to meet before reimbursement can be processed?

    5. How do I submit claims for reimbursement, and what documentation will I require from my therapist?

I can provide a detailed receipt for each session, including the information your insurance may require for reimbursement. It’s always a good idea to confirm the process with your insurance provider before starting therapy.

  • If you are in immediate crisis or experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. My office is not equipped to handle emergency situations, but I am happy to assist with ongoing therapeutic support once you are in a safe situation.

  • Yes, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate. This is an estimate of the total cost of your therapy sessions based on the services we discuss.
I am legally required to provide this estimate prior to your first session. It includes details about the expected cost of services, such as the session fee, and any additional charges that may apply. If your financial situation changes or if services vary, we will provide updated estimates as needed. If you have any questions about the estimate, please visit this page to reach out before or after your first session.
